The Sony PlayStation 5 Pro is an enhanced digital-first PS5 gaming console with a 2TB custom SSD, designed to deliver higher-fidelity 4K visuals and smoother frame rates in supported games. It combines an 8-core/16-thread AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU with an upgraded AMD Radeon RDNA-based GPU rated at 16.7 TFLOPS, alongside 16GB GDDR6 and 2GB DDR5 memory. PS5 Pro introduces PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) AI-driven upscaling, enhanced ray tracing and improved rendering performance. Compatible games can support 4K output at 60 FPS or up to 120 FPS, depending on the title and display. The console ships without an optical drive, although a compatible PS5 Disc Drive can be added separately.
